Breast Reduction

Breast reduction surgery reduces the weight and size of breasts and can help alleviate symptoms such as back pain, neck pain and bra strap grooving. Because the reduction will lift the breast, the result is typically a smaller, more attractive breast.

Breast reduction must be carefully individualized to each patients needs. A consult with Dr. Fernau, who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, will ensure the best possible result.

There is no way to reduce a breast without scarring. However, usually the scars are very well tolerated as a trade-off for smaller, perkier breasts. The scarring will be around the areola with a vertical component that extends down from the areola to the crease below the breasts. No scars are ever made above the areola.

Breast Lift

The breast lift surgery, also known as mastopexy, is a procedure designed to reposition the breasts to a higher, more youthful position on the chest.
